Jeannie Baumeister Workshop-2013. This sweet little Bonnet uses the old fashioned technique of Snail Shirring to gather the bonnet ruffle. The embellishment includes narrow tucks and lace inserted into the fabric. The embroidery consists of Basic Featherstitching, Antique Double Featherstitching and an assortment of Bullion Roses. The ribbon tie in the back makes the bonnet adjustable. Click for more info.

Jeannie Baumeister-2014 Workshop, "Sewing for Baby"
Add to Design Board
Sku #: JeannieB-2014
Jeannie Baumeister Workshop-2014. Students spent three delightful days stitching for their special Baby. The outfit featured a beautiful Tucked Baby Dress, matching Bonnet, slip and a coordinating Baby Sacque. Our little Baby Dress was made from sheer Fine fabric and trimmed with fine lace. Folded 1/8" pin tucks were the order of the day as we embellished a false Tucked Yoke on the Baby Dress and matching tucks on the sleeves and Bonnet. A lovely embroidery design featuring Featherstitching and Bullion Roses complemented the dress hem. Students learned Overhand Tucks (also known as Whip Tucks) which can be used on Baby's Slip and the hand Shell Hem too. The Baby Sacque was made from soft and lovely Satin Batiste fabric in a pale pink with beautiful embroidery and a lace trimmed neck. Click for more info.
